Shiva Kumar Kota is an accomplished HR professional with nearly 7 years of experience, of which 6 years were spent in Human Resources across multiple stints in India, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka, and 1 year as a freelance trainer. His expertise lies in HR Business Partnership, Talent Acquisition, HR Digitalisation, HR transformation projects, and HR Shared Services. Shiva has led teams across roles and has worked closely with senior leadership to solve various problem statements related to the people & culture charter and to build/improve the effectiveness of HR processes and systems. Shiva is currently associated with DSLR Technologies, where he is responsible for all things Talent & Culture. Prior to this, he worked as Associate Director Human Resources at WhiteHat Jr/Byju's Future School, where he led the HRBP role for Pre-Sales (User engagement), Teacher recruitment & training, and Teacher learning & management. He was also the TA COE lead at WhiteHat Jr/Byju's Future School. Before that, he worked as Business HR at CEAT Sri Lanka, where he drove the HR digitalisation program management for CEAT India. Shiva holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from Tata Institute of Social Sciences and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from KL University. He also completed his Intermediate in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry from Kaizen IIT Academy and his SSC from St. Francis de Sales School. Shiva is passionate about building something from scratch and seeing it through. He is particularly excited about early-stage setups and would like to build expertise in setting up and scaling up.
